Akriti & Vihang

Akriti and Vihang’s wedding at The Lake Resort, Naukuchiatal, brought together families from Maharashtra and Uttarakhand in a setting surrounded by water and hills. For our team, it was also a welcome return to a family whose celebrations we had helped plan before. That existing trust gave the preparations a particularly personal character.

The celebrations began with Akriti’s family welcoming Vihang’s, setting a warm tone for the days ahead. The lakeside mehendi was relaxed and colourful, with fresh flowers and an informal atmosphere that suited the surroundings. The venue gave guests space to gather while the lake remained part of the view.

For the sangeet, the palette deepened to maroon and gold. The richer colours introduced a more regal mood for the evening and created a clear contrast with the lightness of the daytime celebrations. Moving between these settings gave the wedding a sense of progression while keeping the functions connected.

The ceremony returned the focus to the lake. The mandap framed Akriti and Vihang against the water, placing the couple and their rituals at the heart of the scene. The setting drew its atmosphere from the landscape, with the design bringing the celebration into focus.

Being invited to plan both children’s weddings in the same family made this occasion especially meaningful to us. This collection records the elements that shaped Akriti and Vihang’s celebration: the welcome, the changing colours of the functions and the lakeside ceremony that brought everyone together.
