Niharika and Anirudh’s celebrations at Shaheen Bagh brought together three distinct moods: the glow of an evening engagement, the exuberance of a sunlit haldi and a wedding framed by ivory flowers and greenery. The Dehradun venue’s old-world character remained part of the story throughout, from its ivy-covered doorway to the garden ceremony.

An evening with old-world charm

For the engagement, black and gold fabric created a sparkling backdrop, with lighting and special effects adding to the evening atmosphere. The couple’s portrait at the ivy-framed wooden doorway offered a quieter counterpoint. Warm lights picked out the texture of the building and the details of their outfits, giving the photographs a sense of intimacy within the larger celebration.

A haldi full of movement

The haldi brought the celebrations into the sunshine. Yellow clothing, floral jewellery and marigold accents introduced a brighter palette against the venue’s greenery. The photographs capture Niharika and Anirudh dancing with their family and friends, with the setting becoming a backdrop to the energy of the gathering.

Ivory flowers in the garden

For the wedding, the design returned to a softer palette. An open wooden mandap was dressed with flowing ivory fabric, abundant white flowers and foliage. Tiered chandeliers hung above the ceremony space, while the surrounding trees kept the garden present in the composition.

Niharika’s red bridal ensemble and Anirudh’s ivory sherwani stood out beautifully against this restrained setting. Their portrait beneath falling petals captures the joy of the day, while the wider ceremony photographs show the floral framing illuminated as evening arrived.

Planned and designed by BnB Weddings, this celebration allowed each function its own expression while staying connected to the character of Shaheen Bagh.
